世界を震撼させるこの一冊、みたいな感じか。帯みたいな見出しだ。

で、それは何かといえば、ほとんど空前のベストセラー的に売れたという話のワイルド・スワンのJung Changが新作を出したその本。

Mao: the Unknown Story

毛沢東：知られざる物語、とでもいうか。あるいはいっそ毛沢東秘話とか。

どこまでいってもセンスがベタだなぁ、というタイトルづくめなのだが、どうやらこの１週間、英国発信媒体で露出している様子。著者がロンドン在住ってことももちろんあるだろうが。

ここにあげた記事を読むまで気付かなかった私も相当無知だったが、ワイルド・スワンって、今もってメインランドじゃ発禁本なんだそうだ。へぇえ、って感じ。でも台湾、香港から当然入っていってはいるわけで、これもそれを望んでいると著者はいっているそうだ。それはそうだろうが、どのぐらいのインパクトになるんだろうか。
